Hosting Sri Lankan monks & scholars on Teachers’ Day

On Monday 16 May, Wisdom Park welcomed a group of 11 Sangha members and scholars who came to learn more about Buddhist educational efforts in Malaysia. They were amongst the top scholars throughout Sri Lanka in Pāli, Sanskrit and Sinhalese languages, having excelled in national Buddhist examinations there. They were invited to Malaysia on a study tour courtesy of Venerable Sri Saranankara Nayaka Thero, Nalanda’s Spiritual Adviser.

Nalandians joyfully welcomed Venerables and introduced them to the Society’s educational mission and growth. They were brought on a tour of the grounds of Wisdom Park, an integrated educational hub for teaching and learning Buddha-Dhamma. The venerable monks were gladdened by the progress and offered words of encouragement to Nalandians.

Before leaving, venerable sirs offered blessings and extended their best wishes for the propagation of Dhamma here. We thank the venerables for their kind visit, and wish them the best in all their noble endeavours.
