On 19 and 20 April, Nalanda members and volunteers hosted 44 members of Seck Kia Eenh (SKE), Melaka who was journeying the greater Klang Valley to visit a few Dhamma communities. This short but fruitful trip was led by SKE’s President Bro. Tan Kim See and members of SKE’s Board of Management.
Our SKE friends commemorated Earth Day with us at Wisdom Park, by planting trees to green the Campus. The group also had a meaningful discussion in the evening on the factors of unity and harmony that contributes to their community, as well as ideas on how to enhance the Society’s engagement with the wider Buddhist community in Melaka.
On their way down south, the group visited Nalanda Centre to further understand Nalanda’s education philosophy as well as programmes offered to meet the needs of devotees, youths and students. We rejoice in this opportunity to host SKE and deepen our bonds of friendship. Let’s continue unabated in our efforts to bring Dhamma to more people for the welfare and happiness of all beings.
