Just yesterday, over 35 yogis and volunteers completed the Meditation Retreat led by Ven. Gavesi held from 1 to 10 March at Wisdom Park. Yogis were guided by venerable sir in 10 days of intensive practice, starting with clear instructions, daily Dhamma talks and personal interviews. We extend our appreciation to Ven. Gavesi for conducting this retreat for the benefit of the yogis’ mental cultivation. We also thank all the volunteers for their selfless service and rejoice over the yogis’ efforts and endurance. May your development in the Dhamma continue unabated for the well-being of many.

Last weekend, on the 18 to 19 February, we hosted 24 members and volunteers of Gurun Buddhist Association on their visit to Wisdom Park. Led by their President Bro. Tan King Leong & Deputy Bro. Heng Meng Huan, the group consisted of the association’s Dhamma School teachers and their children, who were on route to Borobudor, Indonesia for a learning trip. We wish our friends a smooth journey and fruitful reflections on their learning trip. Sukhihontu.

On Sunday 21 January, we welcomed Ven. Chuan Wen 传闻法师, abbess of Hoeh Beng Buddhist Temple 鹤鸣禅寺 and leaders from Chempaka Buddhist Lodge 千百家佛教居士林 to Wisdom Park. The group toured the campus and rejoiced in its peaceful environment which is conducive for Dhamma learning and spiritual cultivation. We thank Ven. Chuan Wen for leading this visit and all the leaders for this fruitful exchange. May your propagation of the Buddha’s teachings bring much benefits to the Buddhist community.

On Saturday 20 January, we joyfully welcomed Ajahn Dhammasīha, Abbot of Dhammagiri Forest Hermitage, in Brisbane, Australia to Wisdom Park. In this short visit on his transit from Thailand, Ajahn toured the educational campus with members, who shared the Park’s objectives and Dhamma programmes hosted here. We are grateful to Ajahn Dhammasīha for coming to visit us again and for his kind blessings for the smooth operations of Wisdom Park. May Ajahn have good health and all the right supporting conditions for his noble endeavours.

From 20 to 21 January, Wisdom Park hosted d’CRADLE – Centre for Research and Dhamma Leadership Enhancement – for their 2024 Management Retreat. This campus built by the Buddhist community for the Buddhist community welcomed its first guest organisation to conduct their training programme within its serene grounds. Last weekend, from 12 to 14 January 2024, over 95 participants and volunteers gathered to learn and cultivate mindfulness in a meditation retreat led by Luang Por Kalyano, Abbot of Buddha Bodhivana Monastery, Australia. Last weekend, from 16 to 17 December, Nalanda Family Dhamma School hosted a Dhamma Camp at Wisdom Park for their students, a very welcomed trip for the families after two joyful visits there earlier this year. We thank Dhamma School facilitators, Nalanda Kuala Lumpur Branch Committee, volunteers and all the students for their efforts and support in this first overnight camp for Family Dhamma School. Let us all continue to inculcate wholesome values and practices so that we may live life more meaningfully.

From 15 – 17 December, 20 leaders and core members of Nalanda Youth Centre retreated to Wisdom Park to review how the Youth Centre has progressed in 2023 and to prepare themselves for the year ahead.
