d’CRADLE management retreat at Wisdom Park

From 20 to 21 January, Wisdom Park hosted d’CRADLE – Centre for Research and Dhamma Leadership Enhancement – for their 2024 Management Retreat. This campus built by the Buddhist community for the Buddhist community welcomed its first guest organisation to conduct their training programme within its serene grounds. Cultivating mindfulness with Luang Por Kalyano

Last weekend, from 12 to 14 January 2024, over 95 participants and volunteers gathered to learn and cultivate mindfulness in a meditation retreat led by Luang Por Kalyano, Abbot of Buddha Bodhivana Monastery, Australia. Meditation retreat led by Luang Por Viradhammo

Over the last holiday weekend, from 22 to 26 December, over 80 participants and volunteers gathered at Wisdom Park for the Meditation Retreat led by Luang Por Viradhammo, jointly organised with Dhamma Connect. We are grateful to Luang Por, the Organising Committee, participants and volunteers for making this retreat so fruitful and enriching. Family Dhamma School learns Buddhist culture

Last weekend, from 16 to 17 December, Nalanda Family Dhamma School hosted a Dhamma Camp at Wisdom Park for their students, a very welcomed trip for the families after two joyful visits there earlier this year. We thank Dhamma School facilitators, Nalanda Kuala Lumpur Branch Committee, volunteers and all the students for their efforts and support in this first overnight camp for Family Dhamma School. Let us all continue to inculcate wholesome values and practices so that we may live life more meaningfully.

From 15 – 17 December, 20 leaders and core members of Nalanda Youth Centre retreated to Wisdom Park to review how the Youth Centre has progressed in 2023 and to prepare themselves for the year ahead. Uniting towards a Buddhist missionary at Members’ Convention

Just a few days ago from 9 to 11 December, over 90 Nalanda members from Serdang and all three branches gathered at Wisdom Park for the 9th Nalanda National Members’ Convention. In these 3 days of learning and training, members better aligned to the Society’s direction of progressing towards a Buddhist missionary. Joyful learning with Ayya Santinī

On Monday 11 December, Nalanda members had the priviledge of welcoming Ven. Ayya Santinī, Abbess of Wisma Kusalayani in Bandung, to Wisdom Park for the first time. This timely visit during the Society’s 9th National Members’ Convention, presented a wonderful platform for members from across Malaysia to ask questions pertaining to their practice and missionary calling, in a Dhamma chat with Ayya Santinī, a missionary herself.

Imbuing our education mission on Nalanda Education Day

Nalanda ‘Education Day’ is observed on 11 December annually, and this year marks the 10th anniversary of the Nalanda “Education Philosophy”. This model which governs our personal and organisational development and programmes calls for a holistic approach in education, balancing and combining knowledge, skills, values and culture, hence leading to integral development of people. Missionary spirit shines in members’ forum

In the last 2 days, Nalanda members have been deeply exploring the theme “Towards a Buddhist Missionary” at the 9th Nalanda National Members’ Convention being held at Wisdom Park. This culminated in a forum this afternoon, to learn from the personal life stories and motivations of three dedicated members who have each persevered in their Dhamma learning and service to the Buddhist community.
